Arcan İsenkul Wins First Prize at Ruşen Güneş Viola Competition
Viola student Arcan İsenkul won first prize at the International Prof. Ruşen Güneş Viola Competition held in Ankara in March 2025. In the final, he performed the Stamitz Concerto and Boran Mert's 'Medhal'. As a prize, he will perform as a soloist with three different orchestras in Turkey during the 2025/26 and 2026/27 seasons.

Three viola students from Prof. Tabea Zimmermann’s class honored
Three students from Prof. Tabea Zimmermann's class achieved significant success at the 6th International Oskar Nedbal Viola Competition in Prague. Brian Isaacs won 3rd place and a special prize, Arcan İsenkul received the Pirastro Prize, and Ayaka Taniguchi secured 4th place. The competition was open to international violists under 30, with 15 finalists selected and 4 competitors performing Hoffmeister viola concertos in the final round.

Our scholarship recipients Elias David Moncado (violin) and Arcan İsenkul (viola) performed at Carnegie Hall's Weill Music Room in New York. This special concert, realized through collaboration between Siemens Arts Program and Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben, provided young musicians with the opportunity to perform in one of the world's most prestigious concert halls.
