Driven by their shared passion for chamber music, violinists Rhoda Knötzele and KimChi Stutzinger, violist Arcan Isenkul, and cellist Alejandro Costa Martí founded the Colora Quartet in October 2024 at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts.
Shortly after their founding, the four young musicians celebrated their first success as winners of the Chamber Music Prize of the Polytechnische Gesellschaft Frankfurt. This was followed by concerts both within and outside the university, including their debut in the Mozart Hall of the Alte Oper Frankfurt.
The quartet teaches under Prof. Tim Vogler (Vogler Quartet) and has participated in the International Chamber Music Campus Jeunesses Musicales and the Bad Homburg Masterclass. Since 2025, the four musicians have also been scholarship holders of Jeunesses Musicales Germany. They also received further musical influences from Prof. Tabea Zimmermann, Caspar Vinzenz (Aris Quartet) and Prof. Susanne Stoodt.
